Progression Series

(1): Started out with basic shapes, color, outline.

(2): Took away some shapes, and added new ones. Used more of the warp tool to distort original shapes, and used the blending moods. Took the stroke/outline off many shapes, and messed around with the opacity of a lot of the shapes.

(3): Once again, I kept some things constant, while changing the size/color/opacity of others.

(4): Continued to experiment with color and opacity and blending moods. Shapes that remind throughout the first three, disappeared in this one.

Overall, I liked working in a progression-like fashion. Instead of restricting myself, there was a sense of experimentation that made it okay to not know exactly where I was headed, and having "happy accidents" as an end result was okay.

Series Continuation

So here are #s 3 and 4 of the series, which I think will conclude the entire series. Again, some things have remained the same, while others have change, particularly in color.

(#4)

I've really enjoyed working on this project. There was a certain freedom that I felt with creating a non-representational abstract piece.

Project 2; Alterations

This a newer version. I used some of the other shapes from classmates who were posted later. I took advice from the Prof about the outline/stroke, and used some of the blending modes.

I'm probably going to make more alterations and then possibly use all of the images as a series of progression.

We'll see =)

(#2)

Project 2; Rough Draft

This was my first draft. Basically what I was going for here was pattern, color, texture. Abstract approach. Originally the outline/stroke technique was intentional. Plan to experiment with stroke technique, blending modes, and composition for further development.
